Casting Call: Aggie Pride – The Motion Picture
Project Title: Aggie Pride
Production Type: Feature Film
Setting: Greensboro, NC | 1960
Subject: The North Carolina A&T State University "Greensboro Four"
The Story
Four freshmen. One lunch counter. A revolution that changed America forever.
Aggie Pride is a historical drama that chronicles the courage, brotherhood, and tactical brilliance of the A&T Four. We are seeking authentic, dynamic young actors to portray the legendary students who ignited the Greensboro sit-in movement at the Woolworth’s lunch counter in February 1960.
We are looking for performers who can capture the weight of this historical time piece.
Ezell Blair Jr. - Innocent in the face, timid when it comes to civil rights issues, but more confident with familiar people. He wants change, but he didn't know that he would be a part of it. His emotions consist of concern, not as confident. Has to exhibit the genuine fear of taking this kind of stand.
Frank McCain - Calm, Confident, and steady. Franklin is the quiet backbone who commits when it matters most
David Richmond - Observant and emotionally grounded, David finds clarity through the pride and unity of campus life.
Lena - Passionate, outspoken, and full of youthful energy. She's eager to be a part of the movement almost to the point of being reckless. But reality sets in when she realizes the danger of what she's about to embark on.
